Pemain hoki kebangsaan, Chua Boon Huat meninggal dunia pada pagi Khamis akibat kemalangan. Kemalangan beliau ini mendapat perhatian ramai pihak samada peminat sukan hoki ataupun sebaliknya. Kemalangan yang berlaku di Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) pada jam 3.00 pagi pada 1 Ogos 2013 melibatkan kereta Proton Perdana yang dipandu beliau dengan lori menyiram pokok bunga. Mendiang baru saja bersama-sama rakan skuad hoki negara berada di majlis berbuka puasa dan penerimaan insentif kemenangan.

1MCC to Help Melaka Football

Football is a well known sport in Malaysia. Melaka also has her own football team, but the team current ranking is not good. The team has been playing in the lower league, Liga FAM (division three in Malaysia League) for 3 seasons this year. It is not good as the Melaka football team has won the Malaysia cup 30 years ago and was also as good as other big teams in the 90s. In that era, big names such as the football legend Soh Chin Aun, Zainal Nordin, Ramli Junit , G. Torairaju and other players were born.

The situation has changed and the Melaka football team is as not as its glory days anymore. For the team to make history as it did back then, may be impossible. Even though Melaka has produced great talents such as Shukor Adan, Federin Kadir and Rasid Mamut, but most of these players are playing for other states and clubs rather than playing for Melaka.

Why such thing happens?

I’ve heard from many sources, the big problem for Melaka football team is their lack of management.

The most famous futsal team from Melaka is the Bertam Ulu FC. It is a very well known team, not just in Melaka, but also Malaysia. If you have been following the local futsal news, whether through the news paper or internet, then you should have not missed them. Bertam Ulu FC has won many futsal tournaments. It is respected and feared by many. You don’t want your team to be facing them early in any tournament.
